Writing for the first time in my own blog excites me since there're a lot of things I need to share with those who might visit my blog. As an English teacher, writing makes me too concious, afraid to make mistakes or worry on what readers might think of me. However, language is usage, as long as people understand, I couldn't be more satisfied.

Well done. At least you have made a start. Have the will power to keep writing regularly and get your colleagues to give comments. We all need comments, constructive comments to improve. Do not be afraid to visit blogs (in English if that is what your interest is) and leave comments. Leaving comments helps to invite them to visit you and leave their comments. That is how it works. It helps if you show you email address on your profile page allowing some people to give their comments in private. I do that and some silent visitors do write privately giving their constructive criticism without embarrassing anyone.
